- „Repeated chaos creates pattern. My work exists by
composing a multitude of meticulously placed and repeated lines in sync
to reveal geometric shapes, forms and patterns. Particularly this
repeated use of a single unit, like a straight line, to reveal a
synchronized effort I find interesting. The overlapping of patterns and
matrices create optical illusions with an elusive sense of undefined
space, shifting colors, moires and deceptively bending lines. An
intuitive approach to color, composition and layering choices counters
the almost rigid and systematic way of consistently painting these
straight lines. These types of juxtapositions i.e. between approach and
methodology, are part of a driving motivation to seek an orchestrated
balance, with a single line as the building unit, for an evolving
convoluted sense of universe.”
